It's only the first week of October and I have LOTS of collaboration news to share!

First off, for those of us who weren't 'turned off' by Target due to the MASSIVE 'technical difficulties' they experienced during the Missoni launch, I must say, they are definitely trying to make up for it by announcing their upcoming partnership with Jason Wu debuting on February 5, 2012!  The limited edition collection ranging from $19.99-$59.99 will not only feature apparel but handbags as well.

Prior to that launch, however, Target will be unveiling several other designer collaborations just in time for the holidays!  Designs by Josie Natori,  Albertus Swanepoel, and Dana Kellin are slated to hit the shelves on October 1, 2011 and January 1, 2012.  I can't wait to get my hands on one of Swanepoel's $19.99 hats (shout out to South Africa Mz. FA!). This one is my favorite:

Check out this sexy Natori set:

Speaking of the Missoni collaboration, the Italian design house has moved past their Target joint venture to release their latest collection with Converse!  I'm not a traditional sneaker girl, but these would be my pick:

Not one to live in the shadows, Versace is prepping the world for the November debut of its H&M collection by featuring key pieces in Vogue (USA/UK/Russia).  Here are a few of the photos:

Lastly in the world of 'hi/lo' jvs,  I was just made privy to Aldo's 'RISE' project - promoting up and coming fashion designers through design collaborations.   According to the Aldo RISE website, "RISE collaborations move from fashion week’s elevated catwalks to the streets where style innovates."   In making this effort a reality, Aldo has tapped, JW Anderson, Christian Cota, Faster by Mark Fast, Libertine, and two of my favorite- Cushnie Et Ochs and Preen to design co-branded footwear in the upcoming seasons.  CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist Christian Cota will debut his Fall 2011 RISE line this month.   Find out more at

It wouldn't be fitting to discuss the 'hi/lo' juxtaposition without adding some 'comps' to the mix.... check these 'haute hunting' finds out:
